Produced in and around 1967 the British Folk revival inspired coffee set was named Saxony by Ellgreave Pottery were an earthernware pottery manufacturer at Ellgreave Street, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent. This sets consists of a tall coffee pot with a beehive section at the top milk jug and sugar bowl five cups and saucers. The glaze in this case is brown but the same design was also coloured green.
